Sunday Salon 2 | 2018

Saturation Point held the second of its Sunday Salons for 2018 in July, with guest artists Dominic Beattie, Nathan Cohen, Laurence Noga and Kate Terry, hosted by Patrick Morrissey and Hanz Hancock

Our joint project, Saturation Point, was initiated in 2011 with an internationally-sourced collection of artists' work, with the intention of establishing an overview, or survey, of reductive, non-objective practice . This project has now become an established platform for reductive, non-objective artists working mainly in the UK.

The Summer Salon is an extension of the project's mission to promote this genre, and this event reflected our intention to reinvigorate and encourage interest, and to extend the discussion around non-objective and systems art.

The images below document the day’s events as well as the work on display in the salon. The proceedings combined impromptu formal discussion around the subject and informal exchanges between the artists and their visitors, who included art professionals, friends and gallerists.
